About Us
Welcome!
Luckiamute Domestic Water Cooperative is a non-profit, membership owned Co-op, organized in 1968. Luckiamute serves the unincorporated rural areas in southern Polk County. Most of our water comes from four underground wells located south of Independence, in the American Bottom basin. The remainder is supplied by two inter-ties with Falls City. Today, we serve a population of approximately 2,821 through 1,085 service connections with an average daily demand around 374,325 gallons.
